This pillar is devoted to improving the physical structures of churches, ensuring they are safe, functional, and a reflection of God’s glory. Many churches in the Coast region of Kenya face challenges with inadequate or unsafe buildings, which hinders effective worship and community gathering. Inspired by the belief that the church should mirror the beauty of God, A Cord of Three creates partnerships to build or renovate churches; creating spaces that honor God and uplift the worship experience.
My father was a preacher! Oh, was he a passionate church planter! He was the first Southern Baptist in Kenya and went on to serve the Lord even to his last breath. Some of the churches he started were in rented rooms, some under a tree while some in make-shift shelters. Today many churches dot the area he served God diligently. But, sadly, some of them are lacking the basic infrastructure. They cannot offer a decent place of worship for children, youth and adults. Where God will enable me, together with many like you, A Cord of Three wants to change this picture and narrative.
2 Chronicles 2:5 “The temple I am going to build will be great, because our God is greater than all other gods.”
